……to the Green Man Festival. Four days of camping below Table mountain just outside Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons national park. Fingers crossed the sun will be out and I will be able to lay out in the grounds of Glanusk park soaking up some alternative folk and psychedelia with a warm ale. Bliss and for once I will just look at the hills and not even think about climbing them (well I am popping back the following weekend to climb them!).

August 22, 2009 at 8:50 pmOoooo nice. Hope you have a good time. Crickhowell is one of the best places in the UK and I love Table Mountain. Its the beginning to one of the best horseshoe walks in the country……IMHO of course 🙂

August 24, 2009 at 4:45 pmThe Black Mountains are great. Are you talking about the horseshoe route around Grwyne Fechan valley? Hopefully will be walking that next weekend if the weather is good!

August 26, 2009 at 11:23 pmDave that is the walk I am planning to do, except I will be starting in the valley to the east so will have to climb up and over the ridge down into the valley and up the other side to start. Pheew feel tired already!

August 27, 2009 at 8:48 pmI know I am predictable and partizan on this score, but that horseshoe is just a great one day ridge walk
